she said the light around me has changed.
the inside is pushing through the walls, shimmering and shining like a great sun.
outside it rains.
(inside is a deep belly smile)
the sky is open armed and full of conversation.
I lay like a starfish for hours in the damp grass. just being.
everything has changed.
there is something like a tickle of joy dancing tango with all the ages of a lonely despair.
love is as palpable as this drizzle of rain beginning....
the dry patience answered with a gentle kiss of sea.
A grey sky breaks into blue.
Birds dive on the edges of light.
The sky is bigger than ever
everything has changed.
I rest in the rocking of a wave and dream of a mother that holds me.
I smile to a father delighted to see me.
I rest in the trueness of miracle and bound with joy in my childhood and motherhood and fatherhood.
I stretch into the limbs of my animal self and find certainty in my strength and action.
I resound with fierce love.
I sit at the feet of my ancestors and hear their stories into the night and until the morning and they are shaking hands and calling the truces.
I believe again in magic and things unseen and the wings of angels and phoenixes and great hands holding me.
I sing songs to summon the courage to live.
I dance until the dawn breaks.
I raze the battlefields and plant sunflowers.
I blaze with possibility.
I choose the home I grow in and the food that nourishes me.
I am met and matched by the weight of a love that bears the flags of truth, beauty and bravery.
I sleep and dream and wake in a big, blue world that is green with hope.
I trust the wisdom of this body and the whispers of my soul.
I remember...
I am a queen,
a king,
a rare and brilliant diamond,
a precious and mighty heart.
everything has changed.
